The year Filipino sailors first arrived in what is now the U.S.—marking the earliest recorded presence of Asians in America. We arrived 400 years ago and before the pilgrims- we aren't going anywhere!

Founded by Adam King and Sam Hyun, 1587 blends fashion, activism, and Asian American identity into a single movement—redefining what streetwear can stand for.

From Concept to Collection
The first drop goes live. Designed for function, crafted with intention—each piece tells a story of heritage and heat. The movement begins to grow.

First national recognition as THE AAPI sneaker brand. And yes, we were super nervous and Cuban is awesome
